First day back over with; wasn't too bad at all, but there again the students aren't back until Monday so it shouldn't have been really! Iceland resources and photos are now up; they are mainly about plate tectonics, but also applicable to flooding and jobs in Geography (there is also a very silly video clip about meanders).

Frantic Preparation!
An incredible summer, but not one that leaves you feeling overly ready for term. I'm now back from D of E, Eton, Iceland and the Lakes and attempting to clean nearly everything I own. I'm working on getting the Iceland resources up; hopefully they will all be up by the end of September. Also keeping me busy is preparation for the new school year and fitness training (I've accidentally agreed to run two mountain marathons by the end of October!).
Have a great start to the year all you teachers and students.

Obedient to a fault.
I'm not one for sitting around, but the last couple of weeks have been a little over the top. The end of term found me on the third and final day of a Duke of Edinburgh expedition. I then went straight from the campsite to teach Japanese summer students to speak English in Eton. Inbetween lessons I've been trying to prepare for a two week expedition to Iceland as on Friday I go straight to Heathrow from my last class. Iceland should be amazing, I'm going with a number of other teachers to work with scientists in the most remote part and then turn the experience into teaching materials (which I hope to have up on this site by the end of September ish).
For now though it's back to the exceptionally obedient Japanese students; so obedient in fact that a number of them jumped into the pool during the swimming test, when asked, despite not being able to swim ... or float!
